Just wanted to make a quick post in case you haven’t seen The Million Dollar Homepage. This kid who wanted to pay for College built a site with a bunch of 10pixel blocks, totalling one million pixels. He told his friends to tell their friends to advertise. The price was $1 per pixel, but once you were paid your ad would stay for all time (at least 5 years worth of hosting). Here we are five months later. All pixels have been sold. There was an auction for the last pixels netting an extra $38,000.00. Five months to become a millionaire! |
