Whoa. After seeing this my first thought was "keyboards are going the way of the dinosaur." We will probably eventually be typing directly on monitors, but I also think (sooner) keyboards won’t have traditional plastic keys as we know them know. Imagine a touchscreen keyboard with changing layout. Each program you open will optimize keyboard space with shortcut keys. If you open MS Word, you’ll get keys for bold, italic, etc. If you open Internet Expolorer, you’ll get keys for favorites, back, forward, etc. And if you open Adobe photoshop, you’ll be able to draw right on the keyboard. Of course all of the hand gestures from this video will become common as well. If you are a graphic designer, architect, gamer, or elementry school student, you will probably be seeing larger touch screens like this sooner. |
